Job #4678 – Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their very busy, established organization! If you are communicative, organized and enjoy digging into details and analyzing results in a fast-paced environment, this is for you. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, your main responsibilities include:

• Maintain financial records to assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles
• Produce financial reports and variance analysis
• Compile and post month-end entries
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts
• Maintain general ledgers
• Prepare and file monthly HST and QST Returns
• Prepare and maintain accurate and complete records for audits
• Support the processing of payroll transactions and ensure compliance with payroll legislation and policies
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as needed

This is a deadline-driven environment where you will need to take initiative and have the ability to multi-task. You will be working in the full accounting cycle and be working with large data sets to create reports and identify trends to forecast. Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Formal accounting education
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Full cycle accounting experience, including month end
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Previous experience working in a non-profit organization is a strong asset

Compensation, Perks & Opportunities:

• $60,000 – $70,000 annual salary
• 3 weeks’ vacation PLUS 2-week shutdown at Christmas
