Your time here will be fast and furious and quite the ride. But the rewards are plentiful, and you’ll learn a ton. Overview We are seeking a senior financial analyst to join our finance team. This person will be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting (FR), but also involved in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), deals, treasury, and more. We’re a small but nimble team, which means you'll have the opportunity to wear many hats and engage with a wide range of roles and responsibilities.   Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis : In-depth financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with various departments to gather necessary information for accurate financial planning and analysis. Transaction Management : Accurately classify and record bank transactions, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and correctly categorized. Month-End Close Process : Prepare and post month-end journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records via reconciliations. Financial Presentation : Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders Treasury : Processing payments and monitoring various bank balances, ensuring efficient use of funds across multiple bank accounts yet ensuring all accounts have sufficient funds. Deals : Assist with evaluating potential investment opportunities and provide comprehensive financial models and projections. Compliance and Controls : Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining robust internal controls. Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of financial operations.   What we’re looking for Over two years of work experience in a professional environment related to finance, accounting, consulting or e-commerce. CPA-qualified, or active pursuit of a CPA is an asset. Ability to work 3 days a week in our downtown Vancouver office. A proactive mindset that always seeks to improve processes, making them more efficient or effective. Strong attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps. Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with e-commerce metrics and familiarity with platforms like Amazon, Shopify, and Meta. Powered by JazzHR
