Our client, a leading Manufacturing supplier in St. Catharine, Ontario, is currently looking for a full-time permanent Health and Safety Coordinator with solid experience in steel manufacturing sector.

Job : Health and Safety Coordinator

Pay : $35-40+ Benefits.

Location : St. Catharine, Ontario

Overview

Health and Safety Coordinator role focused on developing and maintaining health and safety programs in a steel manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, update and implement health and safety policies and procedures, including PPE, safe operation of cranes and mobile equipment, confined workspace, fire safety, asbestos, lead, and silica programs, as well as environmental compliance
• Escalate health, safety and environmental issues to management
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety and environmental legislation and liaison with outside consultants and regulatory bodies as required
• Coordinate and conduct accident, incident and near-miss investigations, as required
• Schedule and administer all employee health and safety training
• Deliver health and safety onboarding program to new employees
