Job Reports To : Associate Director of Finance.
Key Activities
Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance the Senior Financial Analyst will perform the following roles business intelligence (BI) analyst, super user and system administrator for new finance system (Sparkrock 365), and administrator of the Tessitura and Ceridian finance interfaces.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Super user and system administrator for new finance system (Sparkrock 365) responsibilities include : setting up user accounts, defining access controls, configuring workflows according to the delegation of financial authorities, maintaining the General ledger structure and dimensions in all systems, and customizing reports;
- Administrator of the Tessitura & Ceridian finance interfaces : ensure financial data is up-to-date and maintained in collaboration with the applicable departments.
- Reconcile and review key Journal entries generated from both systems before it is uploaded to the finance system;
- Manage integrations and data quality processes (validations, mappings, transformations, confirmations) from various systems to Sparkrock 365 and Power BI;
- Use Business intelligence (BI) and financial analysis for data integration and visualization through dashboards, reports including power BI, and Charts;
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to users, troubleshooting issues and ensuring system is maintained and up-to-date in collaboration with the platforms manager (IT / IM);
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system changes and / or enhancements;
- Identify, develop and deploy best practices to drive continuous improvement; and
- Assist with all audit requirements related to the three key systems (Sparkrock 365, Ceridian, and Tessitura).
Skill Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance and / or Commerce;
- Professional accounting designation or equivalent is an asset;
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in a similar position or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Completed or in the process of completing a professional accounting designation;
- Advanced analytical skills and keen attention to details;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software;
- Proficient with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI;
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills;
- Results-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently;
- Strong organizational and time-management skills;
- Strong financial accounting systems knowledge;
- Team player and able to report and communication with all levels of the organization;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines; and
- Bilingualism in English and French is mandatory.
