POSITION SUMMARY

The Website Developer and IT Tech a mid-level technical position responsible for assisting the Omega Morphosis team by providing coding expertise required for building, modifying and maintaining our multiple OM websites.

An IT Administrator, otherwise known as a System Administrator, is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of client computer systems, servers, and data security systems.

Website Developer will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including :

  • Maintaining constant communication with the OM Development team
  • Working with coworkers to achieve the website design goals of key stakeholders and management
  • Delivering innovative and engaging ideas for use on our websites
  • Providing technical support to site customers and testing staff
  • Install network and computer system
  • Maintain, repair and upgrade the operating system including hardware and software
  • Monitor the performance of existing computer systems and IT infrastructures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have :

  • A proven ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on them by their respective deadlines
  • A solid understanding of OOP PHP
  • A strong understanding and implementation of both desktop and mobile UI / UX
  • Knowledge of databases - MySQL, Microsoft SQL and the SQL language
  • A solid grasp of responsive web design fundamentals
  • Object-Orientated Design experience
  • High proficiency in the English language
  • A proficient understanding of code versioning tools
  • Knowledge of unit testing and best practices
  • To assess present network serves, operating systems and security layer
  • To upgrade hardware and software programs
  • To install and implement effective security systems
  • To perform data backup and recovery processes
  • To resolve issues with systems and programs

JOB DESCRIPTION

Omega Morphosis is looking for humble and hardworking employees to join their team of scientists. The Website Developer will be responsible for a wide variety of coding and website project executions and will be a primary doer.

Essential duties include :

  • Assisting the Omega Morphosis staff of scientists.
  • Creating content and templates for use on various Omega Morphosis Platforms.
  • Learning about new science and new technology.
  • Being able to work at the office and working diligently from 9AM till 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
  • Having a positive attitude.
  • Being adaptable to change.
  • Being able to manage your time to complete priority tasks.
  • Not being afraid of working too hard.
  • Having the ability to work outside your comfort zone.
  • Having a high standard of excellence.
  • Being able to accept criticism of work and make multiple attempts to achieve the desired final product.
  • Being able to work with co-workers to meet deadlines.
  • Development of designs for partner content, case studies, white papers, and other deliverable content.
  • Collaboration on designs for lead gen efforts through websites, emails, and social pages including CTAs.
  • Contribution to idea sessions with Marketing and keep up to date with marketing and design trends.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
  • administrator responsibilities often expand to meet the expectation as per the guidelines of an organization. The administrator serves as a key member of the IT department and provides an essential service to the business continuity
  • For example, if a network failure or internet connectivity issue occurs during peak work hours, it becomes even more crucial to fix the problem quickly.

This is what businesses expect from a well-trained administrator. They have a significant impact on day-to-day operations in businesses where downtime can be catastrophic.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess :

  • A degree / Diploma in Web Design or a related field
  • A minimum of 2+ years of website development experience
  • Experience leading mobile app, web, and email projects, large or small, from start to finish.
  • Strong communication, conceptual thinking, design skills and typography skills.
  • An ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social networking sites / platforms
  • A love for technology and a passion for learning and teaching
  • 2+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure support, system administration and networking, and desktop application / operating systems (PC / Mac OS)
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new concepts and apply them quickly
  • Experience leading mobile app, web, and email projects, large or small, from start to finish.
  • Strong communication, conceptual thinking, design skills and typography skills.
  • Familiarity with the use of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social networking sites / platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of professional web design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in web development
