The Ministry of Social Services, Corporate Services in Moose Jaw, is looking for reliable and trustworthy team players to join our Administrative Services team in our Moose Jaw office. As a person who is energetic, thorough, conscientious, and attentive to detail, you will provide a variety of administrative support to various Ministry programs.

In this position, you will be responsible to :

• Compile reports and documents,
• Compose or edit brief, routine correspondence (such as letters and memos);
• Run reports and create spreadsheets;
• Enter and retrieve large volumes of confidential data using internal software programs and databases;
• Maintain, modify, and update physical and electronic records management systems to preserve information for future reference and retrieval;
• Maintain office equipment;
• Monitor supplies;
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail;
• Review, respond to, and route in-person and telephone inquiries;
• Schedule meetings and travel arrangements;
• Maintain a fleet of government vehicles; and,
• Provide reception services to relay general program information.

This position can be physically demanding, and you may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. To be successful in this position, you must also be focused, efficient and dedicated to working in a team environment. You will have knowledge of general office processes, protocols, and procedures, and be proficient in utilizing common software programs.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position is obtained through the completion of an office education program and / or several years’ experience in administration support roles, in addition to previous records management experience.
