Our client based in North GTA is a premier brand in medical diagnostics and a global leader in the development of best-in-class technologies that help answer complex scientific challenges to improve our world. They have engaged ROSS ( www.getROSS.com ) to help them recruit a User Experience Architect.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Our client’s User Experience Architects (UX Architect) are recognized as key contributors to their software development process.

If you join them, you will :

  • Have an integral role not only improving existing design, but developing the next generation software for our client.
  • Work on leading edge technologies.
  • Be working with customers one day and software engineers the next.
  • Deliver in a fast paced environment with aggressive delivery dates.
  • Work independently and closely with project teams.
  • Work on multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • Facilitate user-centered design practices throughout the Product Development organization.
  • Contribute to all phases of UCD, from requirements gathering to design to usability testing.
  • Work within an Agile Software Development environment as a member of the Customer Team.

QUALIFICATIONS :

If you join them, you should have :

  • An absolute passion for exceeding the user's expectations for usability.
  • At least 5 years of experience in user interface design for Windows-based software applications.
  • Superb communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong initiative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • A detail orientation, balanced with the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Great interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent time and priority management skills.
  • Experience planning and facilitating usability testing, focus groups, and customer interviews.
  • Experience with software development life cycles including Agile or other project methodologies is an asset.
  • An exceptional understanding of fundamental design principles and graphical design fundamentals, with formal education related to the User Experience field (HCI, cognitive psychology, information design, human factors, HF&E, persona, etc.).

    This is for Windows development, not web. Moving forwards, our client will be implementing mobile so you’ll have the opportunity to work in this growing field.
