We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in manufacturing. SUMMARY : This position reports to the Supervisor of the department.  The incumbent ensures that the product is welded to process, quality & required efficiency levels. This is a unionized position - Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following 60 working days. The pay rate is $24.49 / h – After probation, the rate will be $24.74 / h  Vacancies :    1 Day Shift (7 : 00 am - 3 : 30pm)        ROLE : Performs the running of the equipment set up by others or by themselves Performs required quality checks to ensure the product is in compliance and in the specification Notifies Group Leader and / or Supervisor(s) of product defects or other serious occurrences Documents and records all necessary information / data as per work cards and other company requirements Performs equipment operational checks Performs proper housekeeping, clean-up and 5 S requirements Performs all duties according to safety standards and company policies Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time DESIRED SKILLS : Essential Able to weld all B category test welds 2+ years of MIG welding experience Able to set-up and maintain own equipment Good mathematical skills Able to repair welds Preferred TIG & stainless steel experience is an asset Pressure vessel MIG welding would be an asset Computer literate Blueprint reading Capable of finish welding REQUIREMENTS : Min. grade 12 or equivalent education Must pass both written and practical weld test Fluent in English Conscientious and punctual Willing to learn OTHER DETAILS : Our team includes members with a wide diversity of cultural and technical backgrounds, ages, and experiences.
