The impact you will have
The Human Resources Manager will plan, develop, lead and coordinate the strategy, projects and activities to support the achievement of the team's business goals.
This leadership role is a true business partner and embedded in the business. Key areas of responsibility include : employee relations, talent management, organizational planning, employee engagement, performance management, and recruitment.
Additional overall global and local initiatives would be included based on needs.
As the Manager, Human Resources - Canada, you will :
- Collaborate with business leadership to create and implement targeted HR strategies and programs to improve recruitment, retention and development efforts to achieve Arjo's objectives.
- Coach and develop HR team members to support the strategic business plans.
- Leverage internal and external relationships and partnerships to understand trends, explore options and deliver tangible business solutions.
- Serve as both a mentor and consultant to stakeholders as well as an employee advocate.
- Champion an effective talent management approach encompassing : forecasting, recruiting, selecting, on-boarding, development, performance management, career / organizational planning, talent movement, succession planning and retention.
- Create, deliver and evaluate programs focused on people development and overall performance
- Collaborate with leaders to develop and deploy effective employee retention strategies using People Survey results.
- Act as the lead / focal for the following key people processes and local / global initiative to be determines and agreed upon with management team.
Drive full ownership of each process, including project deliverables, training, and process enhancements / continuous improvement.
Guarantee adherence federal and provincial requirements. Identify and take the lead to address any potential compliance concerns.
The skills you will need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, human resources, psychology or related discipline required.
- CHRL designation is an asset
- Prior experience leading people required (preferably a small team).
- 3+ years of business-aligned HR leadership experience with key strategy and decision-making responsibility.
- Demonstrated hands-on HR operational experience and excellence, including leading / participating in change initiatives and culture management.
- Experience in talent management background and experience, including talent acquisition and programs that drive organizational vitality, continuity and continuous upgrading of skills and abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
- Strong business sense that complements depth within the HR function; prior experience playing a pivotal role driving organizational change.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Expertise in providing coaching to business leaders on leadership and organizational issues.
- Excellent organizational abilities accompanied by strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strategic problem solver and a hands-on-leader capable of linking strategy to day-to-day priorities.
- Excellent computer navigation skills with a demonstrable knowledge of HRIS software.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office products, and other database concepts.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and travel as required.
