Capital & Investor Relations Director
Location : Vancouver or Remote (within Canada). Travel frequently required. Job type : Permanent, Full-time (contract options may be considered).
Travelers Capital Corp. is seeking an experienced capital raising professional to lead fundraising for our private debt fund and to grow the company’s alternative lending platform. The Director, Capital & Investor Relations will identify fundraising opportunities, develop and manage relationships with potential partners, raise capital, and oversee fundraising campaigns to advance financial goals.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute a comprehensive capital raising strategy to attract new investors to Travelers Capital Corp and / or its Private Credit Fund.
- Identify, engage, and build relationships with potential investors including institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, and high net worth individuals.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and roadshows to market the fund and its investment strategy.
- Collaborate with the investment team to prepare pitch materials, marketing collateral, and due diligence materials.
- Initiate calls to prospective investors and schedule in-person meetings to explain TCC’s Fund(s) and investment strategy; solicit follow-up meetings with senior management as applicable.
- Manage the investor onboarding process from initial outreach through KYC / AML, suitability, subscription, and capital calls, in coordination with the designated representative.
- Coordinate with external vendors / partners to expand distribution channels and maintain Fundserv-related onboarding protocols.
- Maintain continuous engagement with existing investors through ongoing communications and reporting.
- Attend industry conferences and networking events to generate investor leads and stay informed about market trends, regulations, and competitor activity impacting fundraising.
What you bring
5+ years of direct capital raising experience, preferably in private debt, credit funds, mortgage funds, or related alternative investments.Proven track record of raising capital from institutional and individual investors; existing network within the alternative investment space is highly desirable.Strong understanding of private debt investment strategies, portfolio construction, and risk management.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly.Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and drive to meet aggressive fundraising targets.Willingness to travel frequently to meet prospective investors.Dealing Representative registration or the ability to become registered as a Dealing Representative.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Why join TCC
