You have over 5 years of programming experience in a senior role, love to design and code, but now want to become a developer advocate and mentor a great group of developers who themselves are mentoring other go getters within the team.
We’re looking for expert programmers (ES6/CSS or Golang) to enrich our development skill pool while also imparting hard‑won knowledge and experience to the rest of the team. You will help us design, implement, maintain, and sunset technical projects and help us avoid pitfalls you’ve dealt with in your many past projects. You believe wholeheartedly in the Agile manifesto, CI/CD and want to make that your success.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with a perfect grasp of English and a demonstrated ability to articulate themselves. You will advocate the growth and evolution of our developers, support developer education, lead and teach by example – you take pride in writing exceptional, easy‑to‑read, pure functional code.
Adacado is built on Kubernetes, Golang, Vue, and ES6, and utilizes Node, Postgres, Kafka, Aerospike, and ElasticSearch. We manage an ever‑growing army of microservices (150+ unique across 300+ deployments) with special care in making our applications performant, available, and scalable.
This role is based in our Vancouver office and applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. Remote applicants will not be considered.
We provide competitive compensation with benefits and stock options, liberal time off, flexible work hours, and a generous skills‑development/education budget. All developers also receive a stand‑up desk, dual monitors, and a Nerf gun.
