Handyman

Call the Guy Handyman & Renovations Ltd. is seeking an experienced Handyman for our contracts in Whistler, BC. Its a full-time (minimum of 32 hours per week), permanent position, $35.00 - $37.00 / hour paid on a bi-weekly basis. Overtime compensation is based on the current BC Employment Standards Act (1.5 times the regular wage paid if the weekly hours exceed 40 hours). Two weeks of paid vacation each year.

Job duties :

Perform minor carpentry work such as installing or repairing doors, windows, baseboards, trim, and framing.

Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, fences, and decks.

Install and repair flooring such as laminate, vinyl, tile, or hardwood.

Handle basic plumbing tasks like fixing leaks, replacing faucets, or installing sinks and toilets.

Carry out drywall repairs and installation including patching holes, taping, mudding, and sanding.

Replace or install light fixtures and switches and perform other minor electrical repairs within legal limits.

Demolish old structures safely such as tearing out old cabinets, tile, or drywall in preparation for renovation.

Ensure cleanup and disposal of materials to maintain a safe and tidy work environment throughout the renovation.

Requirements :

• Completed secondary education;
• Must have at least 2 years of experience as a handyman or in a related position;
• A valid drivers license is required;
• Must have manual dexterity and logical thinking;

Efficient with hand and power tools

Must have an interpersonal skill that allows communicating effectively with clients and other workers, be flexible, team player, organized.
