JOB PURPOSE

The Manager Food and Nutrition Services is responsible for supervising the provision of food services as well as performing the work of a clinical dietitian.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Foods and Nutrition or Institutional
Management and completion of a Dietetic Internship.
Must have two years of experience working as a dietician.
Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Dietitians.
Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Ability to perform the duties of the position.
Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the preparation, distribution and service of food

Coordinating human resource requirements including scheduling staff

Developing and / or ensuring compliance with sanitation and quality standards, policies and procedures

Developing and reporting on operating budgets and overseeing inventory

Participating in the selection, orientation and training of staff

Instructing patients / clients and their support givers regarding diet therapy

Participating in the training of dietetic interns and other staff

Performing the work of clinical dietitian
