Job Description
The Catering Services Manager is a position that oversees aspects of catering solutions and special events our Business Dining location in Waterloo. This position will oversee the catering team to complete events or catering delivery requests in line with customer expectations and service standards.
Annual Salary :
$50,000 - $51,500 + Benefits and Pension options
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and complete catering solutions to meet customers’ needs
- Develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport
- Deliver consistent quality in planning and carrying out events
- Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders
- Assist clients in planning special events and providing creative solutions to clients’ needs
- Train and lead catering employees to ensure event standards quality in final presentation
- Provide Banquet Event Orders to team and quality assurance all requests are met prior to event
- Responsible for delivering food and labor targets
- Execute catered events of various size and scope including staffing and management
- Ensure accurate reporting of all catering related revenue, expenses, and receivables
- Recruit, train, schedule and develop team members
- Ensure compliance with all food, occupational, and environmental safety policies

Qualifications
Requires at least 2 years of experiencePrior experience in a management or supervisory role preferredPrevious experience in events, hospitality and catering is requiredPost-secondary education is an assetAvailable to work event-based hours that may extend into the early evening – no weekendsMust have excellent communications skillsFood Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications can be acquired post hireRequires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.Ability to stand for extended periods of timeWhat We Offer :
