You are an experienced Construction Manager with 15+ years of civil construction experience, responsible for delivering a rail infrastructure project in Bowmanville. You will implement project plans, prioritize safety and quality, and delegate tasks effectively.
You will work out of the downtown Toronto office and transition to the site office in Durham region by mid-2025.

Essential Responsibilities
- Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Develop and manage project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines.
- Provide clear direction to team members, distributing workload to optimize strengths and development opportunities.
- Prepare field change orders for approval by the project owner or their representative.
- Review invoices from subtrades / suppliers against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
- Hire and manage hourly employees as needed, in consultation with project managers.
- Work with engineers and coordinators to submit RFIs for scope clarifications.
- Supervise design activities by third-party consultants, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and review design documentation.
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet or exceed standards.
- Maintain and track project billings, reports, and projections within financial constraints.
- Review design and construction documents for constructability and value engineering, providing feedback to clients.
Qualifications
12-15+ years of civil construction experience, particularly as a Superintendent.Experience with highways, bridges, roads, and structural infrastructure projects.Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects for a Canadian general contractor.Experience in active rail corridor projects, including steel, concrete, columns, beams, and related structures.Post-secondary education in civil engineering or a related field.PE license in Ontario is an asset.Knowledge of Design-Build or Collaborative Contracts is an asset.Experience with project controls, progress tracking, and reporting.Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; experience with Heavy Bid and Primavera preferred.Effective communication skills, confident in verbal, written, and electronic interactions.Working Conditions
Position involves site and office work. Initially based in Toronto, transitioning to Durham site in mid-2025.Occasional travel to Toronto office required.LI-NC1
