Civil Engineer (Intermediate)
Associated Engineering is hiring an Intermediate Civil Engineer for its Kelowna office. Join a collaborative team of civil and water resources professionals working on transportation, water resource, lineal infrastructure, stormwater management, planning studies, roadway design, site inspections, condition assessments, contract administration, and more.
Responsibilities
- Act as Project Engineer and / or Project Manager.
- Prepare written technical reports including feasibility studies, concept and detailed designs, and design criteria reports.
- Prepare contract documents and construction drawings.
- Oversee and coordinate work for Civil Technologists.
- Provide support to technicians and designers to ensure deliverables are accurately prepared.
- Perform construction administration / inspection.
- Manage project tasks : communication with clients, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Coordinate sub‑consultants and other disciplines on larger projects.
- Execute projects following company standards.
- Participate in marketing strategies and business development, including site visits and emergency flood response services.
- Collaborate on water resources, infrastructure, and transportation projects across BC.
- Conduct hydrological, hydraulic analysis and watershed modelling.
- Design water management infrastructure and flood protection systems.
- Map and analyze spatial GIS data.
Additional Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution.Registered or eligible for registration with EGBC as a Professional Engineer.3+ years of civil design experience.Experience in the resource sector (mining and / or forestry) related to transportation, bridge, and civil studies, design, specifications, cost estimating, tendering, and construction.Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.Strong technical and communication skills.Organizational skills.Team‑oriented mindset.Track record in managing clients and developing client relationships.Commitment To You
