The Test Automation Engineer Role

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to help us deliver higher quality software, faster. Our product poses a particularly challenging QA problem because its core function is to interact with applications and data sources that we are not able to directly control. While we have developed many tools and techniques to help meet this challenge, our ideal candidate will have experience working in similarly challenging QA environments and an ability to think creatively.

Here’s how you’ll be making an impact :

As a QA Engineer, you will be embedded on projects with our product managers and software engineers, and :

• Work with the product team to refine requirements.
• Define test plans for you and the QA team to execute.
• Create automated tests.
• Maintain and expand the test automation framework.
• Work with the engineering team to report issues and perform analysis to help find a root cause.
• Communicate with the team on the project testing status.
• Review QA practices and implement continuous process improvement based on key metrics.
• Review the QA road map (adding projects as necessary) and prioritize projects.
• Work with QA engineers to implement QA best practices.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $85,000 – $105,000 CDN per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Qlik offers a comprehensive benefits package; eligibility requirements for benefits will be controlled by applicable Qlik plan documents and policies.
