Permanent Part Time positions available Multiple schedules available Mississauga site Work Arrangement : On-site New and Replacement Positions Compensation Range : $25.26 - $29.56 / hour Schedules Available : Monday, Tuesday (3 : 00pm - 7 : 30pm) and Saturday (8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm) Monday, Wednesday (3 : 00pm - 7 : 30pm) and Saturday (8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm) Monday, Thursday (3 : 00pm - 7 : 30pm) and Saturday (8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm) Tuesday, Thursday (3 : 00pm - 7 : 30pm) and Saturday (8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3 : 00pm - 7 : 30pm) and Saturday (8 : 00am - 4 : 00pm) Position Summary :   ErinoakKids is currently seeking energetic Respite Service Facilitators to support children and young adults that are medically and / or behaviourally complex within respite services. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and work towards supporting clients as they participate in daily living activities. Key Responsibilities : Assist with planning, implementing and evaluating activities of daily living for participants in the Respite Program; Engage in general client care including feeding, dressing, bathing as well as full support for diapering and toileting; Work towards maximizing client independence in day to day activities; Promote participation in leisure activities and social skill development; Employ behavior management strategies as appropriate; Operate transfer and mobility equipment. Qualifications : Must have or be working towards Child & Youth Worker (CYW) diploma, Developmental Support Worker (DSW), Social Service Worker (SSW), Personal Support Worker (PSW), Autism Behavioural Sciences (ABS) certificate or relevant education and / or experience; Experience working with children and / or young adults with physical and developmental disabilities is preferred; Experience working with children and / or young adults with medical needs such as seizures, tracheostomies and feeding tubes; Experience working with children and / or young adults with challenging behaviors; Experience with assisting individuals in personal care; Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is an asset; Current C.P.R. and First Aid and CPI certificate is preferred; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, overnight and weekends; Enjoy working with children in a team atmosphere; Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
