Job description

Our client, a well-respected non-profit organization, is dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through engaging programs, social activities, and community support. Located in a historic setting by Jericho Beach, they provide a welcoming space where members can connect, learn, and thrive. We’re looking for an Accounts & Administrative Coordinator to help them manage outreach, marketing, and daily operations. This role is perfect for a strong communicator who enjoys a mix of content creation, community engagement, and administrative support.

We are looking for a candidate with some experience in accounting, particularly with QuickBooks. The position requires someone to handle accounting tasks such as processing payroll and billing.

Please note : We are not looking for candidates with a marketing background. Only those with a blend of communications, administrative, and accounting experience should apply.

What’s in it For You :

  • Location : Vancouver, BC
  • Salary : $55,000 – $60,000 (based on experience)

What You’ll Do :

  • Manage the membership database and reconcile daily receipts in QuickBooks.
  • Coordinate room bookings and provide front desk assistance as needed.
  • Support office volunteers with resources and training.
  • Improve administrative processes for efficiency.
  • Maintain and update organizational records and databases.
  • Handle program registrations and assist with planning.
  • Keep the website and calendar updated in collaboration with the Programs Coordinator.
  • Assist in event coordination and room setup.
  • Create, edit, and manage content for digital and print media.
  • Maintain the website, newsletters, and social media platforms.
  • Develop strategies to increase public engagement and awareness.
  • Coordinate outreach initiatives and strengthen community relationships.
  • What You Need :

  • 2+ years in a non-profit, communications, or community-focused role.
  • Degree or diploma in communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, digital marketing, and database management (QuickBooks, Google Workspace).
  • The ideal candidate must have billing experience and be proficient in performing general accounting tasks.
  • A smart proactive candidate who is Detail-oriented, adaptable, and great with people skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
