Position Conditions : This permanent, full-time opportunity of 40 hours per week will include evening & weekend shifts. This position will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the City of Brandon and CUPE Local 69. First consideration will be given to current City of Brandon CUPE employees.The City of Brandon reserves the right to underfill this position.

Rate of Pay : $33.26 - $42.94 per hour (2026 Rates)

• Operator in Training / Underfill 2026 Rate : $29.21 per hour

Closing Date : 11 : 59pm on February 10, 2026

This competition will include testing and an interview.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To participate as part of a working team that operates a variety of equipment and machinery, performing the tasks required for the safe and efficient operations of the City’s water treatment systems. Assists the Class 4 and / or Class 3 Operators with operating the equipment that processes water to acceptable standards for distribution to the public.
