Project Accountant
The Project Accountant is responsible for the full accounting cycle for any special projects within Triple Five.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Preparing financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analyses and financial management reports.
- Developing and maintaining cost finding, reporting and internal control procedures for Triple Five.
- Performing general accounting functions, including operation of the general ledger system, journal entries, and month-end close work.
- Analyzing project data to help interpret project profitability and run reports for project managers.
- Analyzing financial information, call attention to trends, make recommendations, collect information and prepare reports.
- Examining and verifying accuracy of work and authorize routine payments, credits, deposits and withdrawals
- Ensuring that all bank reconciliations are completed and balanced.
- Assisting in the external auditing process to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications :
Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting.A minimum of two (2) - three (3) years working experience in the Accounting Field.Outstanding communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent problem solving, logical analysis and critical thinking skills as well as a high standard of ethics.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.Terms of Employment :
This is a full time position that is required Monday through Friday.This is a salaried position that is dependent on experience and qualifications.Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
