The successful candidate will play a keyrole in the planning design and implementation of transportationinfrastructure projects including roads highways bridges andtransitsystems.
Requirements
KeyResponsibilities :
- Developand oversee transportation engineering projects from conceptualdesign through to detailed design andconstruction.
- Conductfeasibility studies impact assessments and trafficanalysis.
- Prepareengineering drawings specifications and costestimates.
- Collaboratewith clients stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to ensureproject objectives aremet.
- Providetechnical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicalstaff.
- Ensurecompliance with local provincial and federal regulations andstandards.
- Participatein public consultations and stakeholder engagementprocesses.
- Preparereports presentations and documentation for clients and regulatoryagencies.
- Monitorproject progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensuresuccessful projectdelivery.
Qualifications :
- Bachelorsdegree in Civil Engineering or relatedfield.
- ProfessionalEngineer (P.Eng) designation in Alberta or eligibility to obtainit.
- 36years of experience in transportation engineering with a focus onroad and highwaydesign.
- Proficiencyin engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and trafficanalysis tools (e.g. SYNCHROVISSIM).
- Strongunderstanding of transportation planning principles trafficengineering and geometric designstandards.
- Excellentcommunication organizational and problemsolvingskills.
