Job description

Drake International is currently hiring a Yard Attendant for our client in the Whitchurch Stouffville area. Our client is a leading Canadian company specializing in live and live-online salvage vehicle auctions, with facilities across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. If you're detail-oriented, quick on your feet, and have a passion for cars, this could be the ideal opportunity for you! What we offer :

  • Location : L4A 3M4, Whitchurch-Stouffville (On site Job)
  • Pay rate : $ 19 / hr. – Temp to Perm role
  • Shifts : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM onwards, Monday to Friday (must be flexible as per business requirements) training will be provided
  • Start Date – ASAP, on an ongoing basis.

What you do :

  • Vehicle check-in by recording and filing information on vehicles being assigned to the facility
  • Detail (thoroughly clean) vehicles to improve their appearance for purposes of enhancing their value at auction
  • Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner for the purposes of moving the vehicles around the facility and / or participating in drive-through auctions
  • Recover keys, license plates, and other information or objects from vehicles at the facility and store them in the appropriate locations at the branch
  • Assist visitors by providing appropriate guidance and / or directing them to the appropriate person for additional assistance
  • Immediately report all violations of company policy to a supervisor or manager

    • What we’re looking for :

  • Must have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Must have passion or cars, mechanical knowledge is an asset
  • Must be able to work in a physical demanding work environment with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, this is no desk job
  • Must be able to work primarily outdoor work in all types of weather
  • Must have a valid G2 driving license
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
