Bilingual Service Specialist, Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees

BMO is currently sourcing for a Bilingual Service Specialist position on a 12-month contract.

Summary of Role : Seeking a Bilingual Service Specialist with expertise in Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees. Responsible for processing trade transactions, resolving complex issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and Bank requirements. Hybrid work model available.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to) :

1. Process and fulfill trade finance transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

2. Monitor and control Auto renewal reports and extensions related to Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees.

3. Provide advice and resolution for non-routine issues, inquiries, and requests.

4. Strengthen customer relationships, increase loyalty, and focus on financial performance drivers.

5. Escalate issues, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
