RED Mountain Resort is seeking an experienced Mountain Chef to lead kitchen operations and deliver consistent, high-quality dining experiences in a fast-paced resort environment. This hands‑on leadership role is ideal for a Chef who thrives under pressure, enjoys leading a large team of back of house employees, values food safety and consistency, and is passionate about guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations & Food Quality
- Oversee all food preparation and delivery for all outlets
- Enforce standard recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
- Recruit, train and supervise culinary team members
- Inspect food quality throughout preparation and service
- Ensure kitchens meet cleanliness, safety, and departmental standards
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed
Health, Safety & Compliance
Maintain Food Safe, sanitation, and health complianceComplete logs, cleaning schedules, and safety recordsEnsure equipment cleanliness and safe operationImplement corrective actions and submit maintenance requestsFood Service & Guest Experience
Manage staff to ensure stations are fully set up 30 minutes prior to serviceManage staff to ensure that established service timelines are metOversee dietary, allergy, and special meal requests with precisionCollaborate on daily specialsLeadership & Communication

Red Seal Chef certificationFood Safe Level 1 certification7–10 years of culinary experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or clubProduction and banquet experience an assetStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsSelf‑motivated with a commitment to exceptional guest servicePhysical Requirements
