About The Role
The Logistics Analyst is responsible for preparing logistics budgets, reporting on expenses, period‑end, inventory optimization, cost savings, process improvement, supplier management and field execution. Also responsible for office administration of the Distribution Center.

What You Will Be Doing
Lead the preparation, development, and assembly of the logistics budget.Measure performance to budget through understanding and developing statistical reporting with variance explanations.Ensure compliance of budgeting for Shipping, Transportation and Fleet teams by validating invoices.Monitor the financial performance of area of responsibility against approved budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews, preparing, and completing action plans.Implement productivity, customer‑service standards.With Distribution leadership team, set and monitor targets based on a developed, actionable plan.Work with COOP, where required, on Distribution initiatives.Lead the RFP process for 3rd party freight and Distribution / Fleet requirements.Lead and / or act as a resource to projects outlined in the Logistics Strategy Document.In collaboration with stakeholders, take lead role to implement data analytics supported by reports and dashboards as required.Working with Distribution Management team, provide logic and reason to period‑end variances in time to support period‑end meetings, as well as recommend steps to contain negative variances going forward.Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance. Define action required when results are off target.Run detailed spreadsheets in EXCEL.Understand the value of Six Sigma tools and implement into day‑to‑day use.Resolve problems, complete audits, identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement change.Own credit note process to establish root cause and recommend steps to contain reoccurrences. Maintain scorecard for department errors leading to credits and customer penalties.Provide analysis, strategic planning processes to Leadership Team.Maintain a scorecard, by period, regarding Log Strategy projects / updates.Evaluate 3rd party vendor operations (e.g., freight forwarders) according to quality standards.Work with cross‑functional stakeholders to address plan vs actual results and provide recommendations to achieve success.Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems.Other projects may include employee scorecards, WMS system, re‑slotting inventory.Provide support as needed to the Director of Logistics.What You Will Bring
5-10 years of working experienceGood understanding of supply chain fundamentals and the ability to embed best practices into the daily operations.Experience with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management)Experience in data mining, analysis and reportingWorking knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g., NAV)Maple Lodge Farms was established in 1955.
