Role Overview

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for building scalable, high‑performance systems that power our sustainability platform. You’ll define technical strategy, guide architectural decisions, and foster a culture of excellence and innovation. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership with people management to ensure delivery of robust, cloud‑native solutions aligned with our product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering growth and technical excellence.
• Define and drive backend architecture strategy, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate across teams : work closely with front‑end engineers leveraging React, Node.js, and TypeScript to deliver seamless user experiences integrated with backend services.
• Oversee development of microservices and data pipelines using Python, Go, Pandas, Polars, and DuckDB.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile‑driven environment.
• Architect and deploy solutions on Kubernetes in an event‑driven architecture.
• Ensure best practices in test‑driven development, CI / CD, and cloud‑native deployments.
• Manage infrastructure and deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging Kubernetes, Pub / Sub, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Champion engineering standards, code quality, and operational excellence across the team.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives, including AI‑powered product evolution.
