Sessional - Faculty (ECON 1220)

DUTIES

The successful candidate will teach one section of ECON 1220 ‘Introduction to Economics’ during the Fall 2024 semester.  This is a hybrid section with classroom and online students, which runs in an intensive day-long format. Classes will be taught from the Kamloops campus of Thompson Rivers University.

Classes run : March 3 – 7, 2025. Assignments due April 30, 2025.

NOTE : This posting pertains to one section of ECON 1220 Introduction to Economics.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and be prepared to deliver classes at the Kamloops campus of Thompson Rivers University.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Economics (required); a PhD in Economics is strongly preferred
• Community teaching, research and / or service associations with Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc or other Indigenous communities in Canada (required)
• Relevant post-secondary teaching experience with evidence of strong teaching skills is preferred
