Oracle Accountant (Testing, Validations & UAT Focus)

Vaughan, ON (Hybrid)

Duration:
6-12 Month Contract, potential extension

Travel Requirement:
Travel required 2-3 weeks at a time, approximately once every 4 months, as part of global implementation phases.

Intro Paragraph:
We are hiring on behalf of our client as they embark on a global Oracle implementation. This Vaughan-based role will play a key part in ensuring financial accuracy throughout the transformation. The mandate is focused on testing, validations, UAT execution, and protecting financial integrity during system rollout. This is not a traditional accounting role. It is a controls-driven position embedded in a global ERP implementation project.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities Include:

• Executing UAT cycles across GL, AP, AR, and subledgers
• Validating global data migration from legacy systems into Oracle
• Reconciling trial balances and subledger outputs during testing phases
• Identifying configuration gaps and documenting defects
• Supporting cutover planning and global go-live readiness
• Partnering with international stakeholders during deployment phases
• Ensuring reporting accuracy and financial control stability

  Qualifications and Pre-Requisites:
• CPA or working toward designation preferred
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience
• Direct Oracle exposure (Cloud or EBS)
• Prior ERP testing and UAT experience
• Strong reconciliation and analytical capabilities
• Advanced Excel skills
