Forklift operator

Surespan is seeking an experienced forklift operator for our precast division in Duncan.This is a full time position for the right candidate and provides strong opportunities and stability.

Functions of this role include:

• Operate forklift to load/unload various concrete components efficiently and safely.
• Working with the site superintendent and crews to receive and complete tasks required.
• Moving materials around site.
• Prioritizing tasks and communication on vhf radio.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment for you and others.
• Attending safety meetings toolbox talks and orientations to better understand safety requirements.
• Aiding and assisting other workers on site where needed.

What you Bring:

• Minimum 2 years forklift experience experience.
• Proven history of safe practice working on construction sites and around heavy-duty equipment.
• Willingness and ability to perform the required tasks (lifting carrying moving materials up to 50lbs.)
• Good work ethic and attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with a keen eye to identify issues or problems before they arise.
• Familiarity with a wide range of hand tools power tools heavy-duty machinery and equipment is an asset.

Benefits:

- Typical work week is Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Time varies with seasonal requirements.
