Job description

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Administrative Manager is responsible for overseeing the Purchasing and Administrative teams. The Administrative Manager will provide guidance and instruction regarding day-to-day duties related to the Distribution Centres in Quebec to maximize the effectiveness of customer- service levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Supervise and direct the activities of the administrative and purchasing staff to achieve a high level of efficiency
  • Train and mentor staff, promoting professional development within the team
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are properly implemented and maintained
  • Manage daily office operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes
  • Communicate effectively with team members to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Ensure annual and ad hoc inventory cycle counts are performed
  • Proactively investigate and correct inventory discrepancies
  • Ensuring efficient processing and approvals of credit notes
  • Review vendor claims for accuracy
  • Ensure all payables are coded correctly

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proven experience in administration and purchasing management role or similar position
  • Professional communication skills required with emphasis on customer service
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Very comfortable with MS Office and can quickly learn other applications
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards and QlikView is an asset
  • Aptitude for details and data accuracy
  • Able to work independently
  • LINGUISTIC REQUIREMENTS

  • French is a requirement and intermediary English
  • EDUCATION

  • High school graduation is a minimum requirement
  • Diploma in business administration or purchasing is preferred
