AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE : The Computing and Graphics Central business unit is looking for a dynamic, energetic Post-Silicon Systems Test Validation Engineer to join our growing team. To work on the development of methodologies, the execution of system integration plans, and debugging of failures. As a key contributor you will collaborate with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon integration teams to improve post-silicon test content and provide feedback for future debug and test features. You will use and apply emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure zero quality escapes. THE PERSON : As a Systems Test Validation Engineer, you will deliver our next generation of system tests for our products. In this high visibility position, your systems engineering expertise will be necessary to find and resolve silicon platform issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Create and execute test procedures to validate the design of various GPU (Graphics Processing Units) and APU components and features Translate GPU, CPU (Central Processing Unit), chipset, graphics card, motherboard design specs into a robust system integration test plan Make improvements to system level integration test strategies, methodologies, and processes Collaboration with multi-functional HW and SW teams to debug and tackle complex issues Develop and improve automation features according to requirements. Work with IP (Intellectual Property) designers to build knowledge of internal designs PREFERRED EXPERIENCE : Proficiency in using electronic equipment such as high-speed digital oscilloscope, logic / network analyzer, BERT Proficiency in schematics reading and electronic component datasheet specifications Post-silicon system integration Debugging skills at SoC (System on a Chip) and System level Experience with Computer Architecture concepts and silicon features Ability to program in C, C++, and scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) Computer enthusiasts and excellent knowledge of current leading PC (Personal Computer) technology ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS : Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field #LI-LB1 Benefits offered are described : AMD benefits at a glance.
