Staffinity is currently seeking a VP of Operations for a leading provider of specialized industrial maintenance and multi-site facility solutions headquartered in Northern Ontario This is a full-time, permanent position designed for a systems-oriented leader who excels at scaling operations. The base salary range is $125,000 - $145,000 (with flexibility up to $175,000 for candidates with direct industry-specific leadership experience).
The successful candidate will act as the operational bridge for the owners, managing all touchpoints involving logistics, client relations, and internal systems to ensure peak efficiency across multiple service lines.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Direct day-to-day operations for a multi-regional organization, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Strategic Scheduling: Oversee complex workforce deployment and resource allocation for industrial, commercial, and construction-related projects.
- Inventory & Procurement: Manage regional inventory levels and supply chain logistics to ensure zero downtime for field teams.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary escalation point for client relations, ensuring high retention and service excellence.
- Data-Driven Leadership: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- System Optimization: Refine and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs) to support rapid scaling across Ontario.
- Financial Reporting: Utilize advanced Excel modeling to track operational costs, labor efficiency, and project profitability.
- Team Development: Lead a diverse workforce, ensuring all safety standards, certifications (including WHMIS and WSIB compliance), and ethics are upheld.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 10+ years in operational leadership, preferably within industrial support, facility management, or multi-site service sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience implementing/managing ERP or scheduling software.
- Metrics-Focused: Proven track record of using data/KPIs to drive operational efficiency and revenue growth.
- Logistical Expertise: Strong background in managing complex scheduling for high-volume, project-based labor.
- Communication: Exceptional bilingual (English/French) communication skills are considered a strong asset for this regional role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
