Job Description:

Department Overview

This role based in Montreal oversees all equipment financing activities for Western Quebec.

You will lead a team of highly skilled professionals and play a key role in the sustainable growth of the territory. You will combine strategic vision mobilizing leadership and excellence in execution to raise performance standards.

You will act as a strategic partner to both business clients and internal partners of the Bank. You will serve a diverse clientele ranging from small businesses to national accounts.

This role requires an ability to operate in complex environments and create value across the banking ecosystem. You will be responsible for the overall performance of the territory: revenue growth customer experience talent development and sound risk management.

This position offers broad visibility within the platform and a real ability to influence in a fast-growing organization.

Job Description

Financial performance

  • Achievement of regional financial objectives. You will be responsible for ensuring that the regional team meets established targets for new business and overall results.
  • Business segment. Ensure the achievement of results in all of TDEFs business segments. More specifically maximize results in collaboration with internal partners as well as directly with TDEFs clients.
  • Profitability. Ensure portfolio profitability by recommending appropriate pricing for each transaction.

Leadership

  • Ensure that the team maximizes opportunities to refer customers to other TD business lines and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Develop deeper expertise and increase the teams knowledge of TD products.
  • Embrace the TD culture and promote TD within its network.
  • Coach employees throughout the organization including providing feedback on areas for development related to credit analysis prospecting activities general customer interactions and administrative tasks.
  • Participate in special projects and various initiatives.

Risk Culture / Operational Excellence

  • Drive direct business volume growth by ensuring consistent commercial intensity (calls meetings submissions database coverage) to increase market penetration and new customer conversion (strategic key account planning etc.).
  • Collaborate effectively with credit/risk teams to better structure transactions and optimize portfolio quality. Knowledge of various industries and key customers is essential to risk management.
  • Ensure database coverage in accordance with established sales coverage standards.
  • Foster a culture where everyone acts as an owner and works closely with stakeholders to execute with speed and impact.
  • Encourage the team to work proactively with credit to ensure that annual reviews are completed in a timely manner and that the sales team provides quality information to support the risk analysis.
  • Participate in special projects (e.g. drafting of strategic documents process improvement projects).
  • Increase brand awareness through networking market presence (e.g. participation in association events) and community involvement.
Job Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration specialization related to the field of finance and/or accounting.

Minimum 7 years of experience in the corporate banking industry.

Bilingual (French English)

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
