POSITION DESCRIPTION :

Garden Valley School Division invites applications for the full-time permanent position of Middle Years Multi-Grade Teacher at Edelweiss School effective September 2, 2025.

The Board of Trustees of Garden Valley School Division expects every teacher to teach diligently and faithfully in accordance with the contractual agreement with the Board and in compliance with The Public Schools Act and regulations of the Province of Manitoba. Applicants who have prior experience and / or training in this field will be given careful consideration.

REQUIRED AND / OR PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Hold or be eligible to hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
• Prior Self-Directed Learning experience is considered an asset. This position will require the successful applicant to oversee self-directed
• learning for High School students with Educational Assistant support.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check
• Ability to relate to the school community and community value base

SCHOOL INFORMATION :

Edelweiss School is a K-12 school with about 30 students located on the Blumengart Hutterite Colony, about 11 km south of the town of Plum Coulee. A beautiful new school building provides ample space for classrooms, a multi-purpose area, gymnasium, and resource areas. Currently the school has about 2.5 professional staff as well as Educational Assistant support, shared between the primary and middle years and senior years students.
