The Position Safety Professional NCSO or CRSP
AllRock currently operates seven office locations, three in Newfoundland (Corner Brook, Mount Pearl, and Gander) and four in Ontario (Toronto, Ottawa, London, and Barrie) and we are looking to hire a Part-time/Fractional Safety Professional NCSO or CSRP who will take ownership of our safety program, ensuring policies and procedures are current, compliant, and consistently applied. This role will focus on field execution, accountability, and cultural change, working closely with project managers and crews to embed safety into every aspect of planning and operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Drive a culture of safety by working closely with workers and project managers to embed safety into planning and daily operations.
  
• Review and update safety policies and procedures to meet OH&S and client requirements.
  
• Overhaul and maintain the Safe Work Practice (SWP) library, ensuring all procedures are covered and current.
  
• Ensure consistent execution of Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRAs), SWPs, and toolbox talks across all sites.
  
• Implement robust training and competency verification for all staff.
  
• Lead monthly safety meetings and training programs, and drive engagement in weekly toolbox talks.
  
• Maintaining ISN NetWorld, Avetta, Cognibox, and COR certifications.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with PPE requirements and safe work procedures.
  
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on construction sites.
  
• Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
  
• Monitor compliance, coach supervisors, and hold teams accountable for safety performance.
  
• Report safety performance and trends to leadership, providing recommendations for improvement.
  
• Stay informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices, recommending updates to strengthen the safety program.
  
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing safety concerns and guiding best practices.
  
  

LOCATION: The successful candidate does not need to reside in St. Johns. This role supports operations across Newfoundland and Ontario.Candidates based anywhere in Newfoundland and Ontario are welcome to apply.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Safety Management, Construction Management or similar (Minimum requirement is a college diploma and related experience)
  
• NCSO or CRSP Certification is required
  
• 5+ years relevant experience in the Construction Industry.
  
• Standard First Aid & CPR training.
  
• WHMIS 2015 Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training.
  
• Proven success in improving safety performance
  
• Skilled in communicating expectations clearly and ensuring accountability across all levels of the team.
• Comprehensive understanding of OH&S regulations in NL and ON, and their application within construction environments.
  
• Strong ability to identify hazards and implement practical, effective corrective measures.
• Valid Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.
