JOB OVERVIEW
The Hangar Operations Manager reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for the success of the heavy maintenance and line maintenance segments within the assigned Hangar(s). The incumbent provides leadership and sets the tone and pace for overall hangar and project operations. The Hangar Operations Manager directly manages the Project Supervisors, Hangar Support Supervisor, and other relevant Leads / Supervisors as well as associated staff.
Hangar Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all staff are compliant with KF Aerospace’s policies, and with Transport Canada regulations. They lead the Hangar(s), promoting a welcoming and friendly environment. The Hangar Operations Manager also oversees assigned Projects, ensuring cost targets are met, and that Customers receive a high level of service.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
COMPLIANCE
- Promote and maintain KF Safety policies to the highest standards
- Promote Safety Management System reporting and ensure reports are submitted ASAP
- Ensure Hangar Maintenance Operations are carried out in compliance with KFAERO Maintenance Policy Manual and Maintenance Control Manual
- Ensure all Canadian & foreign airworthiness requirements are met
- Ensure KF quality control system is maintained to the highest standards
- Comply with corporate process standards
- Request and maintain training requirements for all staff
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Provide a high level of customer service ensuring customers concerns are actioned in a timely mannerWork with Business Development on manhour estimates and span timesMonitor project progress and escalate any concerns immediatelyIdentify labour requirements to the Director of MaintenanceOversee projects for effective and efficient use of labourEnsure all necessary hangar tooling is available & serviceableManage non-billable hours & costs to targetsLEADERSHIP
