ASSOCIATE RELATIONS PARTNER
What is an Associate Relations Partner?
This role is responsible for providing guidance and assistance to Associates and Managers within the organization on Associate Relations matters.
What will you be doing?
- Acts as a business partner to support and guide Managers and Senior Leaders in person or virtual as needed on Associate Relations matters
- Provides advice and counsel to managers and senior leaders on performance management, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, investigation outcomes, and attendance management and return to work processes
- Advises Managers on disciplinary and / or termination situations
- Provides advice and counsel to managers and senior leaders on GoodLife’s internal policies and provincial Employment Standards legislation and interpretation, including proper administration for all provinces
- Produces letters and other documentation for Associate disciplinary issues, termination, accommodations, and other situations as required
- Supports and guides Associates in person or virtual as needed
- Responds to Associate questions and assisting with work-related concerns, workplace accommodation requests, safety concerns and other situations
- Attends clubs or offices in person as needed
- Subject Matter Expert in employment relations matters
- Acts as the main resource and subject-matter expert for all Human Resources legislation and interpretation
- Ensures compliance with all provincial employment standards legislation and works with Managers to update related policies and processes as the need arises
- Facilitates virtual and in-person seminars and trainings for all levels of management on various Human Resource and employment law topics such as the Employment Standards Act, the importance of enforceable contracts, progressive discipline and terminations
- Completes various reports for tracking of terminations, leaves, resignations accommodations, etc. as required
- Inputs data into various tracking tools on a weekly / monthly basis
- Works with GoodLife’s Legal team as necessary to obtain clarity and / or direction on legal employment matters
- Utilize Associate Information System (AIS) on a regular basis in order to review Associate data, approving transactions for changes as needed
- Participation in various projects related to employment law and Associates
