The Director, General Manager for the Ontario / Manitoba Region is responsible for the overall success of the Multi-MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) by leading a $25M+ P&L with multiple lines of business (storage & modular), increasing employee engagement, and ensuring safety at all branches. The select candidate will also be accountable for developing and implementing both short-term strategies to achieve EBITDA targets and revenue performance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :

  • Lead the Ontario / Manitoba Region by developing growth strategies and executing overall company business objectives.
  • Manage the P&L and ensure revenue growth and profitability for the region.
  • Manage the field sales team and develop appropriate communication and support programs to achieve plan objectives.
  • Generate marketing and commercial plans to achieve annual plan objectives.
  • Develop and execute region growth strategy to achieve annual increase in Units-on-Rent (UOR) and revenue growth.
  • Lead and coach employees and provide organizational leadership to foster employee engagement.
  • Actively manage and develop leaders within the region to promote optimal fleet, real estate, and workforce utilization.
  • Observe and seek out trends in the market space that impact existing lines and provide insights for new product developments.
  • Provide other functional departments with timely information in support of ongoing business activities.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS :

Education and Experience

  • B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing, or related business field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in progressively responsible Business Unit Management roles.
  • Preferred candidates will have demonstrated success managing a P&L of at least $5M.
  • Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time.
  • Preferred Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related fields.
  • Experience working closely with sales teams for product strategy and customer feedback.
  • Flexibility and organization to manage multiple projects and assignments.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, entrepreneurial, time-sensitive, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; seeks ways to improve quality.
  • Strong customer presentation and communication skills.
  • Extensive network within public administration, construction, and industrial business.
  • Proven experience in a rental business, such as construction materials or logistics.
  • Experience in an international operational / functional matrix organization.
  • Salary Range : $132,400.00 - $198,600.00

    Individual rates are based on a variety of factors such as degrees or certifications, skill-level and years of experience.
