KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for general facility maintenance, equipment installation, preventive maintenance & facility cleanliness at both plantsPerform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other facility equipmentAddress and repair any issues related to building infrastructure, such as lighting, plumbing, and mechanical systemsEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Maintain a safe working environment by following established safety proceduresRespond to maintenance requests and work orders promptly and efficiently. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and importanceResponsible for the facility maintenance ticket system, including opening and closing tickets, and required reportingMaintain an inventory of spare parts, equipment, and supplies. Ensure all equipment is in good working conditionKeep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on tasksWork closely with other departments and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to facility operationsEnsure safety, hygiene and clean appearance of the facility for employees and customers in the manufacturing area and other areas as assignedClean and maintain equipment and facilities in both the office and shop, including floors and general use areas, to uphold our reputation for an industry leading clean work environment. Use cleaning supplies and equipment, such as the ride on cleaner, as neededResponsible for maintaining safe outdoor walkways and entrances including, but not limited to shoveling & salting during the winterComplete basic maintenance and upgrades to the facilities, machinery, and equipmentPerform or coordinate maintenance and repair of OEM machinery equipmentCreate, provide input into, and support adherence to facility maintenance and repair budgetsReport on equipment downtime and repair costsWork with ownership and management on capital equipment planningBe available for on-call emergencies and respond to urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours if necessaryEnsure health & safety compliance of subcontractors onsiteComplete or support equipment startup, such as PSHR’s and pre-use inspections when requiredAudit the equipment preventative maintenance program to ensure timely completion and adherence to requirementsAssist with shop and building improvement projects, including 5S, equipment procurement, and lean initiativesEnsure PPE is available at entrance shop pointsAccurate and timely completion of all daily paperworkGeneral housekeeping duties and tasks as they ariseAlways conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanshipIn accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the CompanyAll other duties as requiredRequirements
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical / vocational training in facilities maintenance or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar roleStrong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenanceAbility to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding environmentsValid Driver’s License and ability to be insuredMechanical aptitude to help understand how to operate machinery and complete minor repairsFamiliar with MS Office software and basic computer useSafety first mindsetASSET :
