Senior Software Developer, Application Services

We are looking for a driven, focused and collaborative Senior Software Developer in Saint John, N.B.

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for delivering quality products and support services to meet the technical and business requirements of an organization.

Some typical job responsibilities may include :

• Lead development activities for web / mobile applications for the JD Irving enterprise using full technology stack (C#, Net, Angular and JavaScript)
• Contribute to the designing of custom web and mobile applications working with solution designers
• Participate in on call support for 24 x 7 operations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to enhance our products
• Lead application monitoring and problem management
• Communicate technical status to stakeholders and managing technical development tasks
• Participate in continuous improvements and solution modernization activities
• Lead technology planning of development frameworks and automation of code deployment
• Work in Waterfall / Agile environment and be involved in all technical activities within the team such as estimating, sprint planning, testing, document creation and production support
• Mentoring junior software developers

You have :

• University degree, Computer Science is an asset
• 7+ years' experience in a related field
• Advanced competency in programming languages, Microsoft technologies an asset

You are :

• Experienced with securely integrating external and internal systems
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• A strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communicator
• Organized with strong time management skills
