The Regional Director of Home Healthcare oversees multiple home healthcare branch locations within the assigned region. This role ensures high-quality client care, operational efficiency, clinical compliance, and strong team performance. The ideal candidate brings nursing or healthcare leadership experience within home care, community care, or long-term care settings.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipOversee daily operations and performance across all regional home healthcare sites
Support branch leaders with workflow optimization, scheduling, staffing, and resource management
Ensure consistent implementation of policies, standards, and best practices
Monitor service delivery to meet quality and performance expectations
Ensure adherence to provincial regulations, accreditation standards, safety guidelines, and industry best practices
Lead quality assurance reviews, audits, and risk management initiatives
Work closely with clinical teams to maintain excellence in client assessment and care delivery
Promote continuous improvement in clinical standards and client outcomes
Mentor and support branch managers, supervisors, and clinical leads
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management
Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture across all sites
Encourage ongoing training, leadership development, and professional growth
Build strong relationships with clients, families, case managers, community agencies, and healthcare partners
Respond to and resolve escalations or complex care concerns professionally and promptly
Represent the organization in community meetings, events, and partnership opportunities
Monitor budgets and financial performance across the region
Identify opportunities for service expansion, operational improvement, and revenue growth
Analyze performance metrics and trends to support informed decision-making
Support organizational planning, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse/LPN, or equivalent healthcare designation strongly preferred
Five to seven years of leadership experience in home healthcare, community health, long-term care, or another clinical setting
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and community care models
Ability to lead multi-site teams and manage complex operational demands
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
A valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region
Experience managing multiple branches or regions
Project management or change management experience
Strong proficiency with scheduling systems, EMRs, reporting tools, and technology
Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making abilities
