Job descriptionDevelop technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, either for an organization or for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements. Identify the policies and requirements that drive out the solution. Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions. Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology. Analyze functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows. Define detailed plan for technical design phase Identify and document system specific standards relating to programming, documentation, and testing, covering program libraries, data dictionaries, naming conventions, etc. Ability to define solution performance metrics (e.g. transactions per minutes, etc) Ability to define / address cloud resiliency Azure and AWS experience Well versed in Agile delivery Business Architecture Delivery Management English Software Architecture Technical Architecture French
Position Description :
Architect with delivery focus
Onsite in Ottawa, NCR - 3 days per week
Security Clearance : Must be eligible for Secret clearance (10+ years residing in Canada)
Your future duties and responsibilities :
Architect with a Delivery Focus ensures the realisation of the solution architecture, making sure it is operable & cost-effective
- Accountable for Architecture and / or blueprint that can be implemented in production environment. It is essential for the incumbent to be hands-on.
- Accountable for defining the end-to-end solution
- Technical Management through the solution engineering
- Executive technology reviews
- Architectural assessment for mission critical business application and defining the roadmap and delivery strategy to evolve the existing solution.
- Vendor / partner management and negotiations
- Merger and acquisition technology assessment and alignment
- Program delivery for very large technology portfolios.
- Intellectual Property assessment and management
- facilitating product selections, vendor negotiations, requirements definitions, architecture creation, solution creation and oversight of a large delivery teams
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
The incumbent is responsible and accountable for ensuring the application and infrastructure solution are fulfilling the needs of the Business.
