Distribution Technologist / Engineer

Matchbox Consulting Group has been dispatched by an engineering design company based in the city of Richmond for a Distribution Technologist / Engineer for projects crucial to electric utilities industry here in the Lower Mainland. Mainly working with giant BC utility clients, this is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get into the utilities field with a solid, accredited company.

Responsibilities

Design new and replacement infrastructure for electrical utility underground systems at Distribution voltages.

• Reviewing existing building vault and utility infrastructure
• Prepare layouts, conceptual designs, calculations, illustrations and independent checks.
• Use computer-aided design methods to solve problems and prepare drawings.
• Prepare design markups to the drafting group in order to assist in the development of an engineered drafted drawing.
• Consult as required with the Professional of Record and action changes as directed.

Interface with other design disciplines, coordinate with related stakeholders, project managers and managers.
