Job Description :

Our client is a family owned distribution business with close to 100 years of history behind them! Due to a retirement they are seeking a "hands on" Controller to act as the right hand to the CFO. The company prides itself on having a number of long term employees who feel a part of the family.

The role will require you to wear many hats overseeing the day to day accounting function, payroll, as well as some Administrative duties assisting in the operation of the office. Key responsibilities will include :

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Perform month-end and year-end closings including accruals and reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Prepare management reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and bankers.
• Oversee all AP processing including approvals, coding, and payment runs.
