Job Title : Carpenter

Pay Rate : $25-37 / hr

Shift : Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4 : 30 pm

Job Description

As a carpenter, you will play a crucial role in fabricating all components of timber structures. These range from mass timber products like glue-laminated beams and laminated veneer lumber to steel connectors and integrated structural panels with pre-installed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints for beam layout.
• Fit steel components accurately.
• Perform sanding and precision finishing.
• Operate power and air tools such as hand drills, skill saws, and sanders.
• Package glulam and panels.
• Assist with on-site tasks including preparing, flying, landing, and stitching roof panels.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area.

Work Environment

You will work primarily indoors in a wood production facility, focusing on skilled tasks. The environment is dynamic with multiple ongoing projects. Training on specialty carpentry tools is provided. The facility is well-ventilated with open bay doors, and you will join a team of approximately 50 employees. The work schedule runs from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4 : 30 pm, with a premium for afternoon shifts.
