Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated  Control, Automation and Electrical Engineer  to join our team in Saskatoon.  This role is part of our Project Delivery Group, which helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities. We ensure world-class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems.

The  Control, Automation and Electrical Engineer  will report to the Project Manager on small projects and for larger projects, to the Control, Automation and Electrical Lead Engineer.   This role has two distinct functions :  1) on-site commissioning engineer, and 2) office-based as senior  Control, Automation and Electrical Engineer

The initial role will be as on-site commissioning engineer in Saskatchewan for up to 18 months.  While on-site the commissioning engineer will be responsible for testing of individual subsystems and components, integration of subsystems, as well as testing integrated systems to align with design intent. The commissioning engineer will provide operational support for systems as required.

About the Role : On-Site :

• Independently execute all commission activities.
• Take ownership of project tasks to ensure timely completion, and work with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with client and contractors.
• Guide the work of others, including contractor staff.
• Perform factory acceptance testing and site acceptance testing.
