Position : - teach in a quadmester delivery Guidance Resource / Student Success / Credit recovery Learning strategies courses grades 9 – 12 Prep coverage for intermediate / secondary classes Required teaching qualifications : A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate] A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers Intermediate and Senior Qualifications Special Education Part 1 (Specialist preferred) Guidance Part 1 (Specialist preferred) Position Criteria : Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad / MacBook / iMac) Demonstrated experience with IPRC process and IEP composer Demonstrated experience navigating powerschools Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students Knowledge and experience delivering trauma informed practicesFlexibility and adaptability to work in an alternative education environment Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY and LMS to support student learning and caregiver communication Demonstrated experience or understanding of related industry Health and Safety standards Evidence of strong classroom management practices and student success strategies Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work Ability to integrate experiential learning opportunities into class activities Interested Candidates : Please apply using ApplytoEducation by clicking the Apply Online button below.
