Receiving & Inventory Lead - Nanaimo

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receiver to support daily receiving and inventory operations at our garden centre. This role is responsible for unloading deliveries, processing inventory in the POS system, managing product flow to the sales floor, and handling write-offs and returns.

This is a full-time position; compensation $23.00 – 25.00 / hour

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process incoming shipments from vendors and internal transfers
• Accurately check deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips
• Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies, damages, or shortages
• Manage product flow from truck offloading to appropriate staging areas and onto the sales floor
• Ensure product is handled, stored, and rotated safely and correctly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
• Enter received inventory into the POS system accurately and in a timely manner
• Print and apply price stickers, barcodes, and product labels as required
• Process inventory write-offs for damaged, expired, or unsellable merchandise
• Prepare and manage RTVs (Return to Vendor), including documentation and system entry
• Maintain organized and accurate receiving records
• Support inventory counts, audits, and seasonal changeovers
