Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Solution Architect with deep expertise in Salesforce to support our Information Services (IS) department. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager, Enterprise Business Solutions, Consumer & Dealer.
The selected candidate will, in partnership with other Architects, lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge customer engagement solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, driving innovation, scalability, and alignment with enterprise strategies.

Leadership, Models and Artefacts
Lead the creation and evolution of the application architecture function, selection and adoption of frameworks and methodologiesDocument IS Application Architecture using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met in an efficient, sustainable, and adaptable manner across TCI’s application portfolioFormulate plans to discontinue use of obsolete or low-value architecture componentsLead and facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide solution design decisionsCollaborate with local, regional IS teams to deliver enterprise solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with evolving business needsAct as liaison with technology partners and vendors on Application Architecture issuesWork with the IS leadership to recommend and provide input to its strategy, architecture and supporting standardsAssist with the automation of software deployments using configuration management technologySoftware Lifecycle and Process Improvements
Promote shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flowsEnsure projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from architecture established guidelinesGuide application design and provide technical leadership to ensure alignment to business objectives and application lifecycleCollaborate with other IS stakeholders to create and document standards and patterns that can be leveraged for future re-use and actively seek opportunities to leverage industry solutions for new business offerings and servicesTechnical Excellence

University Degree in computer science or related discipline5+ years’ experience in application design and architecture, including solid hands-on experience in conceptualization, modelling and design for systems like Salesforce Service Cloud (AutoCloud), Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud, AgentForce, ID Management (Customer / Internal) Java development5+ years’ experience in application development including on-prem and cloud development, using OOPs, SaaS, PaaS solutions running on multiple databases and integration across varying types of systemsExperience with API integrations and microservices architectureExperience with CI / CD pipelines, version control, and DevOps practices for SalesforceProven experience with privacy and consent management platforms would be an assetUnderstanding of ITIL and BPM practices using tools like ServiceNowExcellent written and oral communication skillsExceptional ability to present information to technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsBroad understanding of IS management practices and technology issues, including SDLC, infrastructure and application design, development tools, support, project and process managementAbility to demonstrate initiative, good judgment and effective decision-making; exhibit strong process improvement orientation, and have the experience to lead discussions and achieve positive results amongst inter-disciplinary groupsAbout Us
